UPDATED COVID PROCEDURES

The PCC met on the 8th November and after much discussion and with our commitment to provide a safe environment for worship the following procedures were approved.

  1. Reintroduction of singing in church
  2. Two hymns only one at start one at end.
  3. Masks to be worn/track and trace to continue
  4. Every other pew in use so we go back to using the X to mark where people can sit (This will be for all services where there is singing)
  5. Level Zero risk assessment submitted ASAP to comply with both Welsh Government and Church in Wales Guidance.
  6. Books to be introduced again providing they are not used again for 72 hours.
  7. There will be no booking for worship except where indicated above.

I know that for many people singing was the element that had been missing from our services and whilst we have endeavoured to compensate to a certain extent by singing some hymns outside I know for many it has not been the same. I also realise that the social distancing, the wearing of masks and the limiting of hymns will not be to everyone’s taste either but we are moving in the right direction and trying at all stages to mitigate the risk of infection spread.

Every Blessing to you and yours.

Peter
