Rev Sue Waite

Sue was originally from the East End London and trained as a nurse at University College Hospital. Following completion of her training she worked at St Christopher’s Hospice, then continued working in Hospices as a Matron and Director of Patient Services throughout her career. This included studying for a degree and Masters in Health Service Management. Following a move to Wales at the end of 2003 Sue began working for the Welsh Government as part of Care Inspectorate Wales. During her time working there Sue felt called to ministry and was accepted for training as a Lay Reader, which she completed in 2015. Sue enjoyed fulfilling this role across the Ministry Area and felt called to explore her vocation to ministry further. After some hesitation and lots of discussions she offered herself for discernment for Ordination, was accepted and was Ordained as a Deacon in September 2020. She is currently serving in this role mainly in the Three Cliffs Benefice. Sue lives in Pennard with Megan.
